Refurbishment of administrative building Customs Investigation Office Hamburg

For the Hamburg Customs Investigation Office, the PGL added an additional level to the entire building. After demolition of the existing floor, a steel construction was erected, which extends over a total length of 65m.

The particular difficulty was the consideration of monument protection and the consistent use of the building in all construction phases.

Our measures were:

■ Demolition and erection of an elevated level

■ Renovation of 125 windows in the existing building

■ Complete interior work including drywall, heating, ventilation and plumbing
